Join us for a workshop on the Art of the Haunt with experienced Haunted House designers and actors!

• When: Saturday, October 5 from 10am-1pm

• Who: Adults and teens age 16+ who love all things Horror and Halloween! 

• Where: Buladean Community Foundation, 12190 NC-226, Buladean, NC 28705

• What: Haunt experts Joshua King, Ashton Helton, and Emily Dake will present workshops that may include but are not limited to:

  • Scare Strategy - scare acting techniques, as well as the different types of scares that add depth and dimension to Haunted Houses and horror narratives 

  • Character Design - crafting authentic costumes and makeup looks to support your storytelling

  • Immersion Methods - how to interact with guests as your scare character, as well as how to identify and address potential safety concerns for both guests and actors

Attendees will also have the opportunity (only if you’re interested, no obligation!) to sign up to be a performer or design assistant in Hilloween’s 2nd Annual Haunted Schoolhouse from October 21-26. Details about performance opportunities can be found at hilloweennc.org/actorinformation
